MLS GO JR ACADEMY (U5–U8)

Florida Legends Football Club is proud to launch our official MLS GO JR Academy for the 2026/2027 season.

MLS GO, powered by Major League Soccer, is a grassroots soccer program designed to provide boys and girls of all skill levels with a fun, inclusive, and professionally organized soccer experience in a positive learning environment. MLS GO introduces young players to the game through age-appropriate training, small-sided games, and a development-first approach that encourages confidence, creativity, teamwork, and a lifelong love for soccer.

The Florida Legends FC MLS GO JR Academy is led by former Major League Soccer player, professional international, and Florida Legends FC Founder Tony Taylor, utilizing a professional youth development curriculum designed to help young players build a strong technical foundation while learning the game in an engaging and supportive environment.

Our program emphasizes individual skill development, coordination, decision-making, confidence building, teamwork, and sportsmanship through structured training sessions and small-sided games that maximize touches on the ball and player involvement.

Players will proudly represent Major League Soccer clubs while wearing official MLS GO jersey kits, creating an exciting and authentic professional soccer experience throughout the season.

Program Details

Boys & Girls Ages 4–8 Birth Years: (U5 2022 - U8 2019)

Training Information

Training Days: Mondays & Wednesdays
Training Time: 5:30PM – 6:30PM
Location: Durbin Crossing Park

Players participate in activities focused on:

• Ball mastery and technical skill development
• Coordination and athletic movement
• Confidence building
• Decision-making and game awareness
• Teamwork and communication
• Small-sided game play
• Learning the fundamentals of soccer in a fun environment

Game Information

Game Days: Select Saturday Mornings (9:00 AM)
Location: Fort Family Regional Park

Game Formats

• 3v3
• 4v4
• 5v5

Games are designed to maximize touches on the ball, player involvement, creativity, and decision-making while providing an enjoyable game-day experience.

 

*Games are not every Saturday. Games are played on Saturdays throughout the season with select family-friendly weekends off (not every weekend)

Fall 2026 Season

Official MLS GO Jersey Kits

The MLS GO Official Uniform Kit provides each player with a complete MLS-inspired uniform for training sessions, in-house games and program events.

Kit Includes

• Official MLS GO jersey
• Matching shorts
• Matching socks

Important Team and Jersey Assignment Information

MLS GO uniforms are assigned according to each player’s age, skill level and team placement. These assignments help create balanced teams with appropriate roster numbers for the MLS GO Cup format.

The MLS GO registration form asks players to identify their favorite MLS team. This question is required as part of the registration process, but the answer does not determine team or jersey assignments. Purchasing this kit does not allow players to select a specific MLS team.

Players will represent their assigned MLS-branded team throughout the season.
